Newark man shot multiple times in Irvington dies
A 31-year-old Newark man died Tuesday after being shot multiple times in Irvington, officials said today.
Around 5:45 p.m., Tyreah Easterling was shot near 722 Springfield Avenue in Irvington, according to Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray. He was transported to University Hospital in Newark where he died shortly after arriving, officials said.
No arrests have been made however the Essex County Prosecutor's Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident. Anyone with information can call their tip line at (877) 847-7432.
